District History Chelan County Fire District One was formed in the early 1940's to provide fire protection services to the unincorporated areas outside the City of Wenatchee. Chelan County Fire District One was the first fire district formed in Chelan County.
The fire district is an all-risk fire department. We respond to approximately 700 calls/emergencies each year. We provide service to over 13,000 district residents. We provide district coverage from two 24 hour staffed stations, (station 11 in Sunnyslope, station 17 in Malaga/Three Lakes area) and three volunteer stations throughout the district.
The fire district's philosophy is simple and focused. We provide the district's residents with safe, cost effective and professional services. We expect our career staff, volunteer's, and resident's to service our customers with honest, professional services. Our volunteers train every Tuesday night, 7 - 10 p.m., except holidays or working fires. We expect our members to attend at least 50% of our drills. |
